Overflowing with exotic plants, Kathallan features Cacti, other succulents, Bromeliads and many species of other rarely-seen plants, in a gorgeous garden setting.
The creator of this bit of magic, Kathleen Henderson, has transformed a patch of farmland on the far North coast of NSW, into a number of stunning display gardens, see the giant, desert dwelling Cereus happily competing with Bromeliads and Cordylines.
Although a private garden, Kathleen welcomes guests. “In a way, my garden is my life, and I really enjoy sharing it with visitors and friends. I’ve met so many interesting fellow gardeners, swapped information/plants, and always learn something new myself.”
When Kathleen can, she also participates in garden and flower show judging, and another passion of hers – photography. Just click on some of the links at left, to see some of Kathleen’s gorgeous photos – all taken at Kathallan.
Kathallan is an enthusiast’s garden and you are welcome to visit by appointment, so give yourself a treat if you’re in Northern NSW. Kathleen might even turn out some of her beaut scones and tea!
